On June 2, 2016 the Internal Revenue Service approved Vansant Road Cemeteries application for tax exemption under the 501(c)13 designation. This means that all contributions to the cemetery can be tax deductible under IRC section 170 (c) (5). The effective date of this approval was retroactive to June 14, 2014, the date the cemetery committee was formed.
